I had the privilege of creating this custom illustration for a lovely couple who will marry this fall. I’ve been buried under deadlines and at times unsatisfying work. Drawing this reminded me why I love my job.

Next week I will be at Denver Comicon as their special guest, I will participate on a slew of panels as well as have an artist alley table and I’m excited to share that my office manager, Nickole, will have her original art there as well! I will kick of the weekend with a presentation at the Denver public library on Thursday. If you’re around the area, I’d love to see you!

When my cousin called to ask me to draw something for her wedding save the date, I was surprised. My family has been very supportive of my career, but being asked to create art for them was a first. As she talked about her fiancé this image immediately popped into my head. I’m honored that I could be part of their special day in this way. ^_^

Meanwhile, the rough sketches for Misty were approved last week. I am now working on the color versions and will be balancing that and thumbnails for Pashmina. Therefore it might be a bit before I post again, but for good reason!

Also, if you missed it, there are still some originals available in my shop.

i have a busy weekend ahead! starting with a book signing at urban bazaar friday from 7:30p-10p – they also have a special display of mini prints in vintage frames and original work. on saturday i will be signing in the east bay at silk road from 12-3pm. i hope to catch you at one of these ^_^
