Also, we’ve extended our sale! Today is the last day to use the code SDCC17 to enjoy 25% off our shop.

I hope you have a happy week!

comicon for all

I’m still recovering from Comicon – it was a whirlwind of panels, parties and my 7th year in small press. I didn’t want folks who couldn’t make it to miss out, so we’re having a sitewide 25% off sale* through Sunday (our biggest of the year) with the code SDCC17.

I hope you’re having a good week.

*excludes sale, canvas and originals.

NPR, SDCC and tour

I am thrilled to be included in this article on NPR today.

We’re deep in prep for San Diego Comicon – every year it sneaks up on me. I can’t believe it’s next week! I will have a table at O-14 in Small Press. I will also be speaking on multiple panels. I hope to see you at the show!

If you’re in the Bay this weekend, my work will be available at the SF Etsy Pop Up in Ghiradelli Square. There will be dozens of local artists selling there, please stop by!

Lastly, I have added all my Pashmina tour dates to my events page! I’m excited to meet folks while I travel around the country this fall!

That’s all from me – I hope you have a great week!

summer sale

It’s been a busy time as we prepare for San Diego Comicon where I will speak on 6 panels about Pashmina. I am also in the midst of planning my book tour – so many events! I’m also working on my next graphic novel, Jukebox. The hustle and work never stops!

Meanwhile I wanted to celebrate the arrival of summer with a sale – enjoy 20% off our shop (excluding canvas and sale items) until Friday with the code SUMMERBREEZE.

Have a happy short week!

last day to pre-order volume 3

Today is the last day to pre-order Everyday Love Volume 3 and receive an original sketch inside the book! I’ve been enjoying sketching in the books – the above are just a few of the drawings I’ve completed.

We received the books on Thursday and will be shipping them all pre-orders on Monday! Also today is the last day to buy it at the pre-order price of $30.

Thank you for all the support!

the high line

Book Expo was a wonderful whirlwind. I took the opportunity to walk to dinner and enjoy the city after a few interviews and my panel. I held a physical copy of Pashmina in my hands for the first time! Then I signed 100 advanced copies and was introduced as an author ^_^

I’ve been worried about not knowing what to do as a debut author and feeling generally lost. The trip alleviated many of my concerns. I know my worries are only temporarily silenced but while they are – I will embrace happiness.

book expo america

This is a panel from Pashmina. The word shabash means congratulations in Hindi. Beta is the word for son/daughter. Around our house we’re always saying shabash to our daughter – and I imagine my mom saying this to me as I embark on my trip to New York tomorrow for Book Expo America.

The trip will mark a lot of firsts – my first author trip to promote Pashmina, first publisher luncheon with other authors, first round of interviews and meetings for Pashmina. Among many of those firsts – I will see and hold my book for the first time at my first book signing (advance copies, the book still releases on October 3rd).

It’s about to become very real and I am very excited (and nervous, too!)
