I’m regularly battling the exhaustion of work, life and the absence of normalcy. But as time marches forward I find small joys in nature and continue connecting through my work. I am participating in a free virtual author panel with Tandem Bay Area in a couple weeks. Please join if you’re interested!
Also, my debut written and illustrated book, WHAT WILL MY STORY BE, will now release on November 30th due to supply chain disruptions. Please pre-order it as well as other books because it seems these delays will continue through the holiday season.
I hope you’re finding small joys in your days.
My daughter has all kinds of awesome nicknames for her papa and I had none… so I asked her to give me one. She came up with Mama Mermaid and I thought about that as I was drawing this.
I hope you’re all safe and well.
⭐ Enjoy this sneak peek at the interior art for JUKEBOX releasing in 5 WEEKS! ⭐
Shahi and Naz find a jukebox that takes them back in time. Each album sends them to eras of American history in their journey to find Shahi’s father. A story about how music shapes our past and present and connects us to one another. 🎵📚
Thanks to @nickaiart for this beautiful animation (she’s available for commissions!)
I’m very excited to share the cover reveal of Jukebox along with a short interview and excerpt (!!) over on Comics Beat.
Out June 2021 – much to look forward to!
More originals have been listed in my shop.
Thank you for your support this year.
Art helps me focus and still brings bits of joy. I’m grateful that I can continue to create art in these uncertain times. I am fighting every day to remain afloat and art has helped. Walking and time in nature is a reminder that there’s still beauty around us. I love painting original work in the fall. This year I decided to free myself and follow the flow. It led to nature and this series of mini paintings, my earth babies.
Previously I released originals on instagram or via my mailing list. This year, I will time the releases in my shop, Friday at 12noon PST.
Tomorrow I will release six. They measure 2.5×3.5, framed, and priced $125.
Thank you for your support. Sending love and strength.
