It feels like every day there’s a new layer of crap to cope with – right now California is ablaze with wildfires and our air quality is terrible. We can’t go outside. Meanwhile, inside our home the smoke has permeated making our throats and eyes sore.

I’m working on a lot of art that I can’t share yet, and thankfully it’s keeping me optimistic. I hope you’re finding ways to add some hope into your days.

It’s a tough year and I hope you’re all doing okay.

the shade of your love + live drawing

The hubbahubba was looking through my files and came across this custom illustrationfrom 2014 and he exclaimed “Hey, I’ve never seen this!” I forgot to share it soI am sharing it now ^_^ This couple wereengaged under a very unique treeand they wanted me to capture it. As with all commissions, I felt honored to work on something so meaningful.

i’m super excited (and a little nervous) to announce that i will be live drawing this saturday from 11-3p at urban bazaar for their annual vagabond craft fair! i will take custom requests on a first come, first serve basis that day only. i created the above drawing with brush pen and color pencil as a sample ^_^

the hubbahubba wrote the line above and i had to draw it. this is for him on the eve of our fifth wedding anniversary (although we’ve been together for 12 years!) the best decision i ever made was marrying you. happy anniversary! ^_^
