far far away

i am often imspired by photography, and the photos of angela j hill always make me want to be there – fortunately, if i can’t physically go, i can at least draw myself into her world…

have a great day!

above it all

after a grueling week, i feel spent and i just want to be above it all.

janmashtami

janmashtami is the celebration of krishna’s birth. when krishna was a child, he was mischievous, and one of my favorite stories is how he would steal butter from a mutka (clay pot) that was suspended from the ceiling.

in india, on krishna’s birthday, they celebrate this favorite story by suspending clay pots with milk and butter and men pile on top of each other in these amazing human towers to break the pot.

have a great weekend!

immovable

this week’s theme for illustration friday is immovable. with all the talk about mosques, islam and intolerance in the states right now… i thought of how faith is immovable.

for my muslim friends, may all this sillyness end soon.
