sometimes the news is too much and it seems like hope is a creature we have to quest for… that was my thought as i drew this.
on another note, orders from our shop must be priority mail to arrive by xmas – the deadline is friday december 19th. after that there are always gift certificates! ^_^
sf bazaar
this weekend is our last big show of the season and it’s a special one! i was selected as the featured artist for sf bazaar, which means the first 200 people coming to the show on saturday AND sunday will get a limited edition print and tote of the above illustration! we’re been prepping for the show all week, so if you’re in the bay area we hope to see you this weekend at fort mason ^_^

last year i released this print to raise funds for the victims of the typhoon in the philippines. in honor of giving tuesday, i am re-releasing this print today for 24 hours to raise funds for the fight against ebola. 100% of the profit will be donated to oxfam.

I created this entirely in photoshop in 30 minutes – I usually do the base drawing in flash. I wanted to explore painting on just one layer but old habits die hard! I ended up with 12 layers but that’s a big change for me.
I woke up with this image in my mind because I felt a bit crushed by the news… it feels as though all we have is a little light – but hopefully that’s enough to grow out of these shadows.

i’ve been a bit under the weather and i’m finally feeling better. i created this in 45 minutes this morning to get back into the swing of things ^_^

this is a commission i recently completed that made me smile. we have quite a few holiday shows coming up, our first one is one of my favorites – patchwork, this sunday in oakland. we also recently found 3 copies of everyday volume 1! get it before its gone ^_^ aside from that i’m pushing along on pashmina and don’t have much time for anything else.
